Amanda A. Hadley, wife of John O. Blaisdell- 1837-1913.
Daniel was the son of Lieut Samuel and Abigail (Osgood) Blaisdell - his father, was a Lieut in the Revolutionary War. Daniel married Almira Crockett of Meredith on Oct. 27, 1829 and they had four children, James Tenney (born 1830), John O., David Lewis and Mary Abby. James T. resided in Watertown, Massachusetts most of his adult life and died in Newton, Massachusetts on April 19, 1903. Following Almira's death in 1860, Daniel married Louisa Bagley, widow of Elkins M. Bagley. She had several children by her first husband but none by Daniel. Louisa died June 11, 1892, at age 85 and is buried with her first husband, Elkins, in another section of this cemetery.
Daniel owned a 100 acre farm at the end of what is still called Blaisdell Avenue. The land area encompassed both Gilford and Laconia (along Union Ave). From what I can determine, he purchased his first parcel of land there in 1845 and added to the acreage over the years. I am quite certain he built the farmhouse which remained in place until it was razed in 2003. After Daniel's death, his son John O., resided there.
Daniel, his first wife, Almira, and their son, David Lewis, were originally buried in McCoy Cemetery in Gilford. Their remains were disinterred and moved to Bayside Cemetery in 1911 at the request of Daniel's grandson, Bertram Blaisdell. Mary Abby's remains were not moved from McCoy Cemetery. She and her brother, David Lewis, both died of consumption.
