Funeral services for Floyd Bottler, 87, Livingston resident for many years, were held Monday afternoon in Franzen Davis Chapel with the Rev. L. E. Magsig officiating.
Music was furnished by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gray and Kathy Itoh. Burial was in the Shorthill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Shirley Skillman, Wally O'Hara, Richard Hillard, Allyn O'Hair, Albert Nickelson and Ed Warfel.
Mr. Bottler was born September 26, 1886 on the family ranch four miles south of Emigrant. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Bottler, county pioneers.
He spent his early years and received his education in Emigrant and Livingston. He was associated with his father on the family ranch near Emigrant for several years, before settling on a ranch on Eight-Mile Creek.
Mr. Bottler was married to Olga Nelson of Minneapolis, Minnesota, on June 6, 1923 in Livingston.
They retired from ranching in 1958 and moved to Livingston in 1966. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Livingston Masonic bodies.
Survivors include his wife of Livingston; two daughters, Lucille Oates of Pasco, Washington and Marie Malin of San Francisco, California; one sister, Maude Daggett of Livingston; three granddaughters, three grandsons and two great granddaughters.
