SALEM - Hazel N. Nesselrotte, 84, of 500 E. Fourth St., Salem, Ohio, died at 2:20 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2005, at Blossom Nursing Home in Salem. She was born Nov. 30, 1920 in Evans, W. Va., to the late Virgil H. and Elma Whaley Kay.


Mrs. Nesselrotte returned from Florida in 1991 to reside in Salem. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church in Salem.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert W. Nesselrotte, whom she married April 13, 1940, on Oct. 6, 1968.
She is survived by two sons, Herbert Nesselrotte of Salem, Ohio, and Charles Nesselrotte of Guilford Lake; one daughter, Mrs. Roy (Doris) Tolley of Hanoverton, Ohio; one brother, Eddie Kay of Columbiana, Ohio; one sister, Donna Merritt of Pompano Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were three sisters, Lillie Lane, Flossie Ludwig and Olive Asbury.

Services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home in Salem, Ohio, with the Rev. Jack Austin officiating. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memorial Gardens, Rogers, Ohio.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Stark Memorial.
