GEORGIA STRONG, 86, of South Point, OH, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 9, 2011, in Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, January 14, 2011, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Hale officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Burlington, OH. Georgia was born September 5, 1924, in Burlington, OH, a daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Ankrim Miller. She was a homemaker and member of Burlington United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Strong, and one brother, Raymond Miller. Georgia is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Charles Cooper of Huntington, WV; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Robert Strong of South Point, OH, and Larry and Betsy Strong of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren, Bethany and Christopher Strong, Carollee Lockwood, and Jennifer Slash; nine great grandchildren; and one half-brother, Larry Miller of Jackson, OH. Friends may call from 10 to 11 AM Friday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Hospice of Huntington.
