Our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle and friend to many, Leroy Gordon passed away on September 4, 2009 in Cedar City, Utah. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on September 4, 1932 to Carl Milton & Hazel Crawford Gordon.

He married Laureda Prince on May 1, 1965 in New Harmony, Utah. After serving his country in the Korean war, LeRoy worked part time in Grand Rapids. Than for two years working to haul silver scrap in Indiana. He then found employment in Beryl, Utah for farmers, Utah State highway Dept., plus Nevada Highway Dept. He worked for Charles Hester of Glendale, Nevada in feeding his herd of buffalo, and for Wayne Newton horse farm of Logandale, Nevada. LeRoy loved all kind of sports, and enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren earn their sports awards. He helped coach the warrior football team of Overton, Nevada and Logadale church ward basketball team. LeRoy received many awards on his highway jobs, and for sports. LeRoy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

He is survived by his wife Laureda of 43 years of marriage 4 children, Margaret Ann (Greg) Manuele, St. George, Utah, Guy (Renee) Gordon, Cedar City, Tim (Shella) Gordon and Rod (Christy) Gordon of Moapa, Nevada, and siblings Howard (Phyllis) Gordon, Flushing, Michigan, Pat (Pam) Gordon, Dennis (Darlene) Gordon, Nora (Mark) Bourgoin, Kathleen Reintges and Carol Folley of Cedar Spring, Michigan. Sue (Lee) Reitma of Florida, and Nick Nicholson. 17 Grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Hazel Crawford Gordon and Eleanor Gordon of Grand Rapids, Michigan. 4 sisters Margaret Louise Gordon, Shirley Williams, Elaine Brooks, and Glenda Nicholson, Reed and Laura Prince. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 11:00 am at Southern Utah Mortuary located at 190 North 300 West in Cedar City, Utah. Interment will be in the New Harmony City Cemetery.
