She was born March 9, 1932 in Provo, Utah to Don and Carol Adamson. Colleen married Max Littlefield on November 12, 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She and her husband lived and raised their family in Provo, where she was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many positions in both the ward and stake.
Colleen was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and homemaker. Family ties were of great importance to her and she bound our family together with family celebrations, reunions and traditions. Mom was always at dad's side and followed him in death just a year later.
Colleen was passionate about preserving our heritage and for most of her life she collected antiques, displaying them in a cabin in her backyard. She also loved sharing her musical talents by singing at funerals and in choirs.
Colleen is survived by her two sons and one daughter: Stan (Barbara) Littlefield of Palmyra, Utah; Rob (Chris) Littlefield of Lehi, Utah; the late Mark (Jill) Littlefield, Lake Shore, Utah; and Carolyn (Scot) Townsend of Lindsay, California; fifteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Carol Adamson, brother, Donald Adamson, son, Mark C. Littlefield, one granddaughter, and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2010 in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel of Provo, 185 East Center Street. Friends may call at Berg Mortuary of Provo on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to Saturday's services.
