Robert Payne of Dodson, son of Mrs. W. B. Payne of Jonesboro and the late W. B. Payne, died of a heart attack in a Jonesboro hospital around midnight, March 30, 1971.
Funeral services are incomplete at this time and will be announced at a later time.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Berta S. Payne; one daughter, Glenda Payne, one son, Waymon Payne II, one stepson, Eugene Owens, all of Dodson, one sister, Mrs. Winnie Weinholdt of Los Angeles, Calif., one brother, Carthel [sic Carthal] Payne of Dodson, and his mother, Mrs. W. B. Payne of Jonesboro.
