WILLIAM STECKER, retired contractor, 3840 Marietta Avenue, Normandy, Missouri, died of heart disease yesterday at his home. He was a partner of the old Duffner-Stecker Construction Company, which built several churches and schools here, including the Blessed Sacrament Church, Holy Ghost Church, St. Joseph Church at Clayton, McBride High School and Clayton High School.

Mr. Stecker, 78 years old, had been retired for twenty years. He was a native of St. Louis, Missouri, and had lived in the St. Louis area all his life, the last twenty-eight in Normandy.

Funeral services will be on Monday at 9 a.m. at the St. Ann's Church, 7530 Natural Bridge Road. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Surviving is his widow, Mrs. Mary Stecker. ~~~ ST. LOUIS POST DISPATCH, St. Louis, MO, Mar. 29, 1952, page 5
