Mrs. Charles Tidler, 443 North Independence street, died at the age of 48 at 8:10 p. m. Tuesday in Tipton county hospital. Last rites are planned at 2 p. m. Friday at Leatherman - Morris Funeral home, with Rev. James M. Ratcliffe officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral home after 7:30 p. m. tonight. A native of Noblesville, Mrs. Tidler was born August 25, 1904 to Bockman and Bertha (Carey) Lewis. After their marriage in May, 1923, in Noblesville, Tidler and his wife made their home in Tipton.
Mrs. Tidler, who was the mother of 10 children, was a member of the Methodist church. She was educated in Noblesville and was employed at D. A. Murray company. Surviving with the husband are the children, William E. Tidler,
Mrs. Sherry Mahaney. Mrs. Emma Hartley, Mrs. Evelyn Johnson,
all of Tipton: David, Donna, Phillip Joe and Gary Wayne, at home: Mrs. Margaret Long, of Elwood: Morris Richard Tidler, stationed in the U. S. Air Force in Nebraska.
A brother, Fred Lewis, of Indianapolis,
and 14 grandchildren also survive.
