Oberlin-Funeral Service for Mrs. Neecy Ann Chaumont, 74, will be held at the new Allen Parish Funeral Home-Oberlin Chapel on Monday, October 8, 2012 at 10am. Rev. Leon Fontenot will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery of Soileau under the direction of Allen Parish Funeral Home. The family will begin receiving visitors at Allen Parish Funeral Home-Oberlin Chapel on Sunday, October 7 from 3-9pm and will continue visitation in the funeral home Monday morning from 8am until time of service.

Neecy, a longtime resident of Oberlin, was the owner and operator of Neecy's Beauty Shop for 35 years. She loved spending time with her family and friends, church family, and, she especially loved the Lord. Neecy had a passion for cooking and was an avid dancer as well as a member of the Cajun French Music Association.

Neecy was married to James L. Chaumont and a loving wife of 47 years as well as a cherished mother and grandmother. In her later years, she moved to Lake Charles where she was able to be closer to her son and his family. Neecy's family and friends will cherish her memory.

Survivors include her son, two brothers, three sisters, three grandchildren,and one great grandchild.

Neecy is preceded in death by her husband, James L. Chaumont and her parents, Simon and Serstay Manuel.
