Cora Smith Funeral Set Saturday
Mrs. Cora J. Smith, 80, of 720 Cedar, died Thursday at 5 p.m. in a local hospital following a long illness.
Born May 10, 1890 in Rockmart, Ga., she had been a resident of Duncan and Comanche for 67 years. Her husband Jerry W. Smith, died in 1967. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. DeLores Davis, 720 S. 16th, Mrs. Etha Sparks, Temple, and Mrs. Roberta Jennings, 807 Cedar; two brothers, Lee and John Brooks, Comanche.
Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Viola Duncan, Comanche, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Don Grantham Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Phil Wahl, associate minister of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Duncan Cemetery.
Bearers will be W. E. Rockenbach, James Brooks, Leo Smith, C. F. Smalley, E. J. Brooks and Richard Brooks.
