"Anna Margrathe Nielsdotter was the mother of Anna Sophia Jorgensen (same person as Anna Evangeline). Anna Margrathe Nielsdotter (Nielsen) was born 29 Oct 1830 in Olsted, Frederiksborg, Denmark. She married Rasmus Jacob Jorgensen and had 4 children. According to family tradition, she converted to the LDS church while in Denmark, was disowned by her family, left her husband and took 3 of her 4 children to Utah. She later emigrated to Alberta with her daughter Anna Sophia Jorgensen and her son-in-law Jens Christian Nielsen."

Anne is found in the 1910 census in the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Bene (Robena) and Hans Anderson, in Salt Lake City. According to a granddaughter, Anne spent the last year of her life living with another daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Jens Nielsen in southern Alberta, Canada."

Anne's granddaughter, Juliet M. Christensen writes: "My grandmother remained faithful to the church. She was 86 when she died. The last year of her life she spent at my parents' home (1915). I remember how gracious she was and what pride she had in keeping herself lovely. She spent her Sundays reading the scriptures. She took great pride in doing fine needlework. She taught me that anything worth doing was worth doing well. She cooked delicious food and was always busy. I cherish this great woman's memory, who endured so much for the sake of the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She worked every day up to the day of her passing. She said if all her sorrow had come at once she could never have endured it, but she took it one day at a time. She was proud of her ancestry, and I hope she may someday be proud of me as a descendant."
