She was born October 8, 1920 in Tenaha, Texas to W. B. and Mary M. Brantley.
She is preceded in death by husband, Lt. Colonel Charles S. Harvey, Sr.; daughter Joni E. Higgins; father and mother W. B. and Mary Brantley; grandson David Higgins; brother W. B. Brantley; sister Dorothy M. Williams and half-brothers Henry Greenhill, Raymond Greenhill and C. C. Greenhill.
Mrs. Harvey is survived by son, Charles S. Harvey (wife Sandra), daughter Debra A. Covey, (husband Neil), grandchildren Yvette E. Harvey, and Mary, Charlotte and Andrew Covey.
She was a member of Mt. Comfort Church of Christ. She graduated from McCamey High School in McCamey, Texas and attended the University of Arkansas. She was a faithful military wife who gave the best she could to be family. She was interested in writing and published two books of poetry.
Funeral service was held Saturday, January 30 at Moore's Chapel. Officiating was Nathan Jorgenson.
Burial was in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
