CALLED HOME TO REST
While nature has adorned the earth with its loveliest, God has seen fit to remove from our midst a dear woman who for many years has been one of our noblest characters. In Mary Oliver were to be found all the good qualities God bestowed upon woman, and her death ,through expected, came as a severe blow to the community.
DIED - In Merced, March 23, 1900, Mrs Mary Oliver, a native of Missouri, aged 69 years.
Wife of William Oliver, mother of Hiram, William, John, James, Oscar and Austin.
Mary Jane and William Oliver had 2 additional sons Burell & Daniel. Both are mentioned in their father William's obituary dated Jan 1908. Merced Express Feb 1, 1908.
