His name is most commonly written as Ernest Meltravious Boyter. However his headstone clearly shows three distinct names besides his surname and is marked E. M. T. Boyter, making Mel and Travious two separate names. I have also uncovered several land documents in Caddo Parish that he clearly signed as Ernst Mel Travious Boyter. He personally did not include an "e" in Ernest.

He and the mother of his children share a large marker with his information on one side and hers the other.

Note his wife also has a small cement marker next to their large joint marker and a infant daughter Mabel is buried next to her with a similar cement marker.

This would be my GG Grandfather.
