Miss Mary Garman, 22-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John E Garman, died Wednesday in Claremont, Cal., of tuberculosis. Her parents were with her at the time of death. She was a former student in Millikin university and her sister and brother, Walter and Grace are members of the Graduating class in J. M. U. academy.
The Garman family lived in Bethany until 1920. During the 1907-8 term in the university she attended school. She then attended the Normal school in Charleston and then went west for her health.
She leaves besides her parents and the brother and sister of Decatur, another sister Mrs. H. F. Smith of Hoyt, Kansas, who will be here for the funeral.
The body is being brought back to Decatur for burial and is expected to arrive Sunday.
