Helen was born Dec. 19, 1919, in Eden Township, Seneca County, to Glen B. and Rosa K. (Goetz) Wagner. She married Harry E. Hart March 2, 1941, in Sycamore.
She retired as head maintenance supervisor from Heidelberg College in Tiffin, with more than 20 years of service. She was an active member of Sycamore United Church of Christ, serving in many capacities. She also was a member of the Sycamore Garden Club, Mohawk Historical Society and The Thimble Club.
Helen is survived by her son, H. Edward (Joan) Hart of Henderson, Ky.; her daughter, Kay (Carl) Wagner of Westerville; two grandsons, H. Edward (Susan) Hart III of Frankfort, Ky., and Cade Wagner of Columbus; one granddaughter, Kara (Phil) Turner of Columbus; one great-grandson, Zachary Shane Hart of Frankfort, Ky.; and one sister, Evelyn Allison of Tiffin.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Rosa Wagner; and her husband Harry Edward Hart Sr.
A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, at Sycamore United Church of Christ, Sycamore, with Pastor Robin LaBolt officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Tiffin.
Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Sycamore United Church of Christ, 300 S. Sycamore Ave., Sycamore, OH 44882 or to Redbanks Resident Activity Fund, Redbanks Nursing Facility 851 Kimsey Lane, Henderson, KY 42420.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of Redbanks Nursing Facility for the care and love provided to Mrs. Hart during her extended time in their facility.
