Mrs. Jasper was born on July 14, 1918 in the Oakland Community north of Bonham, Texas to Joe Herd and Georgia Taylor Herd. She graduated from Bonham High School.
Mrs. Jasper married Milton Doyle Brooks in 1936 and after his death she married Bob Jasper in 1960. She worked at the Sherman Public Library for many years and loved attending excercise classes at the Sherman Senior Citizens Center, but most of all she loved her children, grandchildren and her church family at Parkview Church of Christ. Mrs. Jasper passed away Sunday, December 7, 2003 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.
Rosa Mae Jasper is survived by sons, Jim Jasper of Dallas, Texas and Bob Jasper of Rockville, Maryland; daughters, Ann Jasper of Santa Ana, California, Jeannie Saul of Springville, Oregon and Jan Griffin of Abilene, Texas; brother, Willie Herd of Bonham, Texas; grandchildren, Blue Biggs, Destry and Sunny Mae Saul, Jarrod and Jordan Griffin, and Michael and Phillip Jasper. She was preceded in death by a son, Joe Milton Brooks; brother, Orwell Herd; and sisters, Mildred Barker and Mary Alice Little.
Family visitation is scheduled for 5:00-6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mullican-Little Funeral Home
