Fannie "Sue" Horn Knox, 99, formerly of White Settlement, passed away Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010.
Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park.
"Sue," as she was known by family and friends, was born April 15, 1910, in Carter County, Okla., to Joe and Bell Bailey. She married S.D. Horn in Oklahoma and soon moved their family to Texas.
They moved to White Settlement where she resided most of her adult life. After S.D.'s death, and many years later, she married Frank Knox. Sue was a member of the Assembly of God Church in White Settlement.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Bell Bailey; son, James Charles Horn Sr.; grandson, Jessie Neil Horn; brothers, Tom Bailey and Deroy Bailey; and sisters, Pearl Horn and Jewel Lowery.
Survivors: Son, Carl Gene Horn and wife, Barbara Harkey Horn, of San Saba; daughter, Naoma Faye Cason and husband, Wayne, of Stephenville; grandchildren, Sheryl Padella, Nancy Hunt and Charles Jr., all of Albuquerque, N.M., Larry Horn, Cynthia Horn and Cathy Cotney, all of the Fort Worth area, and Gary Cason of McKinney; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and extended family at Stephenville Nursing Home, especially Maggie Mung.
