CLARA DAVIS
Clara Marcella Davis, 78, died at 1:55 a.m. Monday in Central Plains.
Regional Hospital in Plainview after a lengthy illness.
Services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the First Assembly of God with Rev. Renay Rice, Pastor, and Rev. Ralph Staggs, Pastor of the First Assembly of God in Memphis, Texas, officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery
under the direction of Wallace Funeral Home.
She was born Clara Marcella Brinkley on December 16, 1908 in Weatherford, Texas. She married Jack Forrest Morse on November 12, 1938, in
Dill, Oklahoma and he died July 18, 1965. She later married Earl Davis on
February 15, 1979 in Tulia. She came to Swisher County in 1956 from Leonard, Texas. She was a member of the Church of God.
She is survived by her husband of Tulia; one son, Billy Jack Morse of Tulia; two step-daughters, Rita Burns of Fort Worth and Darlene McDaniels of Conroe; three step-sons, Bennie Davis of Fort Worth, Jimmy Davis of
Plainview and Glen Davis of Tulia; two sisters, Lila Duncan of Lawton, Oklahoma and Helen Green of Leonard; two brothers, Bill Brinkley of Lawton, Oklahoma and Jewel Brinkley of Kress, eleven grandchildren and six great
grandchildren.
Pallbearers were H. L. Rowell, Jr., Joe Lavender, Jessie Mason, Louie Edwards, Damasus Castillo and Vince Black.
