Vaughn E. Flinn, 70, passed away on November 4, 2003. Born in Randall, Kansas on October 7, 1933 to Ole Elbert and Mary L. (Kibbe) Flinn, he served in the United States Army and graduated from Fort Hays University.
He married Nadene K. Selfridge on June 2, 1957 in Burdett, Kansas.
After a 28-year career with Conoco, Vaughn retired to the family's ranch in Harwood, Texas, enjoying his love for family, friends, hunting, reading and collectibles. He was a member of the Waelder, Texas Chapter of the Masonic Lodge.
Vaughn is survived by his wife, Nadene; daughter, Kimberly Fairchild and husband, Wain; son, Jeffrey, and wife Monica; son, Gregory and wife, Melissa; and granddaughters Rachel, Rebecca, Alexandria and Hannah Flinn.
A memorial service will be held on November 25, 2003 at the Randall Community Church at 1:00 p.m. in his hometown of Randall, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable constributions be made in Vaughn's name to the Randall Library, Randall, Kansas 66963.
His sense of humor, witty personality, and caring nature touched the lives of the many he encountered. A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, he will be greatly missed and remain forever in our hearts.
