Deloris J. Kerr-Sloat, age 86, of Porter departed this life on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Haskell Care Center in Haskell, OK. She was born on April 14, 1923 in Rose, OK to William and Alberta (Marlor) Booth.

Deloris was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her family. She attended school at Hayes Chapel near Coweta, OK. Deloris and Arthur Kerr were married in 1940 in Coweta, OK. She owned and operated Kerr's Grocery Store for 38 years until her retirement in 1973. Deloris was a member of the Porter Church of Christ in Porter, OK. She enjoyed growing roses, gardening, and fishing.

Deloris is lovingly survived by her daughter; her brother; her sister; one grandson; three great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Deloris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers, and three sisters.

Funeral services for Deloris will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the Porter Church of Christ with Jonathan Crowell officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Porter, OK. The family of Deloris J. Kerr-Sloat entrusted her care and services to Wright Funeral Home, 210 S. Broadway, Coweta, OK 74429.
