SHERMAN - Funeral services for Mr. Russell Howell Taylor, age 89, a former
Bonham resident, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 8 at Waldo Funeral Home
Chapel in Sherman. Burial will be in Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, with the
Reverend Eddie Frazier officiating.
Mr. Taylor was born May 7, 1899 in Birmingham, Ala., the son of William Thomas
Taylor and Ada Williams. He was married to Irma Hannah Bacon on June 20, 1922 in
Ravenna. She preceded him in death on October 27, 1967.
Mr. Taylor moved from Bonham to Lubbock in 1948 and then to Sherman in 1970. He
was employed by the Lubbock Cotton Oil Company for many years. He was a member
of the Travis Masonic Lodge No. 117 A.F. & A.M. and Scottish Rite and Order of
Knights Templar Commandery. He was also a member of the Crutchfield Heights
Baptist Church.
He passed away Monday, June 6, 1988 at Heritage Manor in Sherman.
