Mr. Rolle Hankins, a highly esteemed citizen of Lawrenceburg, suffered a heart attack last week at the express office where he had served so many years. He was taken to his home and physician summoned, but never rallied. He was a splendid Christian gentleman and leaves a wife (who was Miss Eddie Birdwhistle of this place) and two children, Miss Ruth Hankins, of Lawrenceburg, and Mr. Curtis Hankins, of Louisville. His funeral was held at his home in Lawrenceburg, Wednesday, conducted by Rev. Eldred, his pastor, of the Christian church there. He was a prominent member of the Odd Fellows Lodge at that place and his fellow members had charge of the concluding ceremonies at the grave. Beautiful floral offerings bore testimony of love and worth. His many friends here sympathize with the bereaved on account of the loss of this kind husband and father.
