After an illness of one week, T.S. Davidson departed this life Thursday, July 23d. He was born in Fayette county, Pennsylvania , August 22, 1822, and was therefore nearly 81 years of age. He is survived by his wife, to daughters, Mrs. Nora Graff of Fayette and Mrs. Thomas Wilson of Manchester, two sisters and one brother. The sisters are Mrs. A.M. Flint of Las Vegas, New Mexico, and Mrs. Hackney of Delavan, Illinois. The brother, Joseph Davidson, also lives at Delavan. The funeral services were held at his late home on Sunday afternoon, and were largely attended. The Masonic Lodge conducted the services, which were very impressive. Visiting brethren were present from Osterdock, Elkport, Greeley and Earlville. Interment was made at Oak Hill. The sympathy of all is with the bereaved in their sorrow.

Thomas married Miss Mary Margaret Colley on September 25, 1849 in Fayette county Pennsylvania to this union were born 4 children:
Adeline Davidson b. about 1850 in Luzerne, Fayette, PN.
Clarinda Davidson b. about 1854 in Del. Co. Iowa
Emma Davidson b. about 1857 in Del. Co. Iowa
Nora Davidson b. about 1863 in Del. Co. Iowa

On April 20, 1892 he married Miss Joanna Sparks, born in Scotland, the daughter of John Sparks and Elizabeth Oglive Sparks. She was born in 1839 and Thomas was born in 1822, making him 17 years older than her.
