Services for Mrs. Jessie Laney, wife of G.C. Laney of Jean, Texas were held at the Jean Baptist church officiated by Rev. J.D. Thorn of Graham assisted by Rev. Abbott of Jean. Mrs. Laney joined the M.E. Church in childhood. After her marriage to Mr. Laney, she joined the Baptist church. She was a good and kind mother. She was also active in Eastern Star work and all moral and civic work in the community.
Survivors: husband; eight children.
