Garnett Ray Harney, 87, of 1923 Wings Nolk Dr., widower of the late Molly Bennett Harney, died at 7:20 PM Sunday December 13, 2009 at his home.

A native of Nicholas County, he was the son of the late Hiner and Elizabeth Mastin Harney. He was a retired electronics instructor for the Bluegrass Army Depot, a member of the Free Masons and a Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mike Harney of Paris and Alan and Chris Harney of Chillicothe, OH; one daughter, Susan Lynn of Paris; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, Holton Mastin of Atlanta, GA and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday December 16, 2009 at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., by the Rev. David Mefford. Burial will be in the Millersburg Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM Wednesday December 16, 2009 till the hour of service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Thad Dixon, Dave Bethel, Daniel Kucela, John McCurry, David Craig and Ricky Crump.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Hospice of the Bluegrass, 1317 US HWY 62E, Cynthiana, KY 41031.
