She was born in Tattnall County and lived in Kingsland 57 years. She was a retired elementary school teacher with Camden County school system and was a member of Georgia Retired Teachers Association, Delta Kappa Gamma and Kingsland United Methodist Church.
SURVIVORS: her daughter, Barbara E. Fields of Kingsland; brother and sister-in-law, O.H. Smith, Jr. and Betty Smith of Claxton; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, James and Tara Fields of Kingsland; two granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Karen and Phil Petit of Woodbine and Julia and Tom Hoenstine of Atlanta; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
