Elvin W Alderson may be the son of John B Alderson (1816-1873, FAG#8236243) and Ruth A Thompson (1812-1865, FAG# 25456509). By the 1850 census, when he would first be listed by name, he was 16 and living with neighbors, the William Jackson family. He married Eliza J Bradley 10 Apr 1855. They resided in Simpson County, KY in 1860 and Allen County, KY in 1870 and 1880. Eliza died in 1893. I cannot find Elvin in the 1900 and 1910 censuses. He was not living with any of his four children in 1900 and 1910. He died in Sumner County, TN. Sumner County, TN shares borders with Simpson and Allen Counties, KY. One must look in all three counties for records.

Elvin and Eliza are both buried in Hobdy Cemetery, Sumner County, TN

Elvin and Eliza had four children: Elmore (1855-1940, FAG# 82210918), William Sidney (1858-1925, FAG# 30777074), Nancy E (1860-1870), and John E (1863-1948).

I am trying to establish the parents of Elvin. Please contact R W Boyd at the link below if you have information.
