The funeral service for Roger Eason Malone Jr., 88, of Elkmont, will be held at 2:30 Sunday at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Steve Ferguson officiating. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Malone passed away on Friday, March 26, 2010, at home. He was born June 25, 1921, in Prospect, Tennessee, to Roger E. Malone Sr. and Lois Taylor Malone.
Mr. Malone retired from the Limestone Board of Education and was a member of the Elkmont Church of Christ, where he also was an elder.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Rebecca Malone; wife, Lois Irene Malone; and daughter, Cathy Seibert.
He is survived by his sons, Roger B. Malone and wife Phyllis of Anderson, Michael D. Malone and wife Ginger of Athens; son-in-law, Henry Seibert of Priceville; daughters, Ann Robinson and husband Dink of Elkmont, Betty Graham and husband Robert of Smyrna, TN, Kay Loggins and husband Wade of Athens; brother, Earl T. Malone of Fairview, TN; sisters, Margaret Jones of Nashville, TN, and Rachel Jones of Wasilla, Alaska; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
