Walter E. Calp, of Glenville, entered into God's eternal Kingdom January 23, 2010.

Born April 28, 1923, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Florence (Calp) Turnbaugh.

Walter was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served his country faithfully during World War II.

He was the owner and operator of W.E. Calp & Sons. Walter enjoyed horses, hunting, and fishing, and was a true outdoorsman.

Walter was the loving husband of the late Roslyn W. (George) Calp and is survived by three children, Carolyn Clark and husband, David of Hanover, Beverly Hellstrom and husband, Arne of Glenville, and David Calp of East Prospect; nine grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; two step great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Calp of Woodstock, MD; and two sisters, Birtie Walker of Bel Air, MD, and Betty Dietzel of Gamber, MD.

He was preceded in death by two children, Walter E. Calp, Jr. and Randolph Calp; and four siblings, Virgel Calp, Dorsey Calp, Marion Calp, and Hilda Waderman.

Interment was in Baltimore National Cemetery.
