My grandfather was born in Alt Postal, Bessarabia, South Russia. He came with his parents to the USA. He was always proud of his heritage. He died at the age of 84 in Butte, Mt on the way out to my graduation in Corvallis, Mt. I was going to go back to take care of him till he died. He is laid to rest with his wife Carolina Schrum Elhard in Sun Set Memorial Gardens Jamestown, North Dakota. He was a World War I veteran.
