The interment was in the city cemetery Wednesday morning and the funeral services were conducted at the house by Rev. J. B. Cole.
Mr. Baines' father, Mr. W. C. Baines, an early settler in Denton, died in California last week. -Denton County News, July 4, 1895, p.3, c.2.

Mary was born in Shelby County, Texas in 1849. She was the youngest child of DeCalb Bryan & wife, Mary Jarrell. She married Edwin "Doc" Porter Baines. Her sisters, Georgia & Augusta married Doc's brother, Charles Silas Baines.
