Julia Anna was the daughter of Emiline Dixon and unknown father. When William Henry Harrison Stephens married Emiline in 1861 he took Julia Anna in as his own. Julia Anna 1st married George Arlington Paul in 1879 and they had one son, Claudie Alphonso (C.L.) Paul (my grandfather). She & George later divorced and she married George Robert (Bob) Ganus. Before her death she went totally blind and her eyes were removed. She was called "Granny Ganus".
