Colesburg - Funeral services for Mrs. Isabel Coon, 88, were held last Tuesday afternoon from the First Methodist, in charge of the pastor Rev. Floyd R. Maynard. The hymns were sung by Mrs. Cora Blaker and Mrs. Kate Klaus, with Miss Delpha Mae Holthaus at the piano.
The pallbearers were Joe Harbaugh, Dick Coates, Frank and Oscar Bolsinger, Henry Sunderman and Ben Holthaus. Burial was at the Oak Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Coon died Saturday, January 29, at the Mrs. Fred Moser home in Strawberry Point, where she had been cared for in recent months. She had been an invalid since having a paralytic stroke four years ago.
Isabel, daughter of John and Rebecca Gillen, was born September 20, 1855, in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. When she was a small child, the family came to Iowa, locating near Graham. The greater part of her life was spent in this vicinity.
In September 1891, she was married to Loren Coon, who preceded her in death about 25 years ago. Her daughter,
Mrs. Ed Goldsmith, died June 20, 1926; and her son died September 21, 1943. Four sisters and two brothers also preceded her in death.
Surviving are seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, one niece in Iowa and three nieces in Colorado.

2. Married previously to Henry Harris, she is the mother of Jeane E. Harris and Henry Harris.
3. Jeane E. Harris is married to James Edgar Goldsmith on Jan. 25, 1897 in Graham, Iowa.
