Helen Johnson, 83, of Hindsville, Arkansas, died May 19, 2002 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born December 9, 1918 at Whitener, Arkansas to E.G. and Annie Calico Mason. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mountain Springs Missionary Baptist Church for more than seventy years. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Phil Mason and one sister, Mrs. Clytie Sanders.

Survivors include: her husband, Millard Johnson of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Lyndall Grigg and Carolyn and Gene Joyce, all of Fayetteville; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Donnie and Amy Grigg of Springdale, Arkansas; three granddaughters and two grandsons-in-law, Debra and Matt Connolly of Rogers, Arkansas, Shani and Derek Ford of Springdale, Arkansas and Staci Joyce of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 21, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Rev. J.B. Manning and Rev. James Goff officiating. Interment was in the Boatright Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville. Pallbearers were: Gene Joyce, Lyndall Grigg, Donnie Grigg, Derek Ford, Matt Connolly and Rex Sanders.
