Born January 22, 1922, in Cole River, West Virginia, he was the son of Turner and Merkie Patrick Cole.
Survivors include a son, David Lee of here; three daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Dona) Prichard of Hepzibak, Georgia, Mrs. James (Betty) Gibson of Harrod, and Mrs. Ernie (Roxie) Neeley of Francisville, Indiana; seven grandchildren; a brother, James of Lexington, South Carolina; and three sisters, Mrs. Joy Tilton of Lima, Mrs. Orville Cunningham of Mannington, West Virginia and Roxie Strong of here.
A general laborer, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the Ada Veterans of Foreign Wars post.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Hanson Funeral Home, Rev. D. Ray Miller officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery.
