Mayor of Pickensville, Alabama. His obituary says that he "served our little town well" as the mayor continuously for 20 years. He was born in Giles County, TN 8 Nov. 1837, married Irene Estelle Cohen 14 Oct. 1868, and died 28 Feb. 1915 in Pickensville, AL. He is buried at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Pickens County (the Sapps community). He served in the 9th AL regiment CSA, Company F. The obit says he was afflicted with dropsy, confined to his bed about two months. "Judge Ezell had spent a useful life. He fought four years in the Confederate army and was honorably discharged at the surrender. He served our little town as mayor continuuously for twenty years, discharging the duties thereof without fear or favor."
