Former Wilson postmistress dead at 86
Mrs. Ricka W. Elfmann, 86, a resident of the Sauer Memorial Home since September of 1970, died there at 1:30 a.m. today.
The former Ricka Wilhelmina Neitzke, she was born at Hart, Minn., Dec. 23, 1884, the daughter of Gustav and Mary Erdmann Neitzke. She married Herman Elfmann at Hart in November of 1909. The couple operated a grocery store at Wilson several years. He he died. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wilson, its ladies aid, was past postmistress of Wilson, and was a member of the Sunshine Club of the Wilson area.
Survivors are two sons, Elmer, Sioux Rapids, Iowa, and Herman, Fountain City, Wis.; four daughters. Mrs. Ernest (Henrietta) Swing, Mrs. Ellsworth (Mildred) Kreckow, Mrs. Luther (Verna) Landner, and Mrs. Everett (Adele) Lander, all of Winona; 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. One daughter, four brothers and two sisters have died.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wilson, the Rev. W. L. Beckendorf officiating, with burial in the Wilson Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Breitlow-Martin Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Tuesday and at the church Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until services.

WILSON, Minn. -- Funeral services for Mrs. Ricka W. Elfmann, Sauer Memorial Home, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Rev. W. L. Beckendorf officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Breitlow-Martin Funeral Home, Winona, today after 7 p.m. and at the church Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. A devotional service will be held at 8:30 p.m.
