Asenath Hanawalt married John L. Jeffries (b. c1803 in Pennsylvania) on 28 Oct 1828 at Mifflin County, Pennsylvania. In 1860 John, Asenath, and a Theodosia Jeffries (age 11, was she a daughter?, though reports say Asenath had no children) were living at Wayne Township, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania with John listed as farmer. They were living next door to Asenath's brother Christopher Hanawalt. In 1870 John (a retired cooper) and Asenath were living at Wayne Township, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania. In 1880 the widow Asenath was living at Wayne Township, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania with her nephew, David Hanawalt (1834-1897) (son of Christopher Hanawalt) and a housekeeper.
