RETIRED PASTOR WESLEY McNEILL, a resident of Berryville, was born June 9, 1929, in Dumas, a son of L.C., Sr. and Hazel (Camp) McNeill. He died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, in Harrison, at the age of 78.

On Oct. 21, 1950, Wesley was united in marriage with Ethel Perry, who survives him of the home. He is also survived by two sons, Randy and Ricky McNeill, both of Berryville; three sisters and one brother, Laverne Fager of Salt Lake City, Utah, Marie Parker of Dallas, Texas, L.C. McNeill, Jr. of Sherwood, and Ruth Crabtrey of Benton; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, LeRoyce McNeill; and one sister, Zerlene McLemore.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Brother Steve Emerson and Brother Bobby Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Farmer Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
