Suddenly stricken with apoplexy, Fred Epler, a Civil War veteran, of Topton, died at noon Wednesday in his 75th year. He saw service for three years with Co. G., Sixth Pennsylvania Volunteer Cavalry. Besides his widow, Fianna (nee Dresher), he is survived by these children: Allen F. Epler, and Mrs. Lizzie Wagenhort, both of Reading; Mrs. F. P. Rohrbach, of Topton, and Rebecca, at home. A sister, Mrs. James Printz, of Reading, also remains.
