Suggested edit: Lorenzo Boyd Basye Sr., 76, well known resident of this community, died unexpectedly at his home Sunday morning at 11:30. He was a lifelong member of Buckhorn Mennonite Church and had many friends.

He was a son of Nathan and Eliza Grady Basye and lived all of his life in this area.

Mr. Bayse is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hattie Basye, and four children, Mrs. Avis Runion, of Falls Church, Mrs. Margaret Sherman, Miss. Camey Basye, and L.B. Basye Jr., of Mathias, a step daughter, Miss. Effie Eaton, of Paw Paw, W.Va., a sister, Mrs. Mary Lane, of Pittsburgh, and a brother, Jonas Basye, of Mathias, seven grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. John F. Shank, Rev. J.L. Stauffer and Rev. Timothy Showalter will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
