Thomas Hastings Moore Jr., 89, of 112 Saluda Dam Road, died Thursday, April 8, 2004.

Mr. Moore was born in Greenville and a son of the late Thomas Hastings Moore and Alice Means Moore.

In addition to his wife, Lola Mae Derrick Moore, of the home, he is survived by a son, Edwin Hilton Moore, of Greenville; a stepson, Dallas Ray Sanders, and wife, Sheila, of Durham, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Gloria Moore, of Greenville; four grandchildren, John Rodney Moore, and wife, Minako, of Seattle, Wash., Emily Katherine Moore, of Easley, Stephanie Rene Bougher, and husband, Chris, of Cartersville, Ga., and Kalin Daniel Sanders, of Durham, N.C.; two sisters, Lucy Younginer, of Easley and Julia Davis, of Greenville; and a brother, Robert Moore, of Greenville.

The family wishes to thank a special caregiver, Ruth Ann Green, RN.

Mr. Moore is predeceased by a son, Thomas Moore; and a sister, Alice Andes.

A visitation was held Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.

The service will be held today at 3 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, with burial to follow in Graceland Cemetery, West.

The family is at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Francis Hospice, 414 Pettigru St., Greenville, SC 29601.
