Obituary,
Charley C. Bane, 80, died at 10 p.m. Saturday at the home of his son, Frank Bane, in Holland. Mr. Bane was born in Groveton, June 30, 1886 and had lived in the Little River Community for more than 30 years, where he was a farmer. He was a member of the Church of Christ and of the Central Texas Pioneer Club. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. John M. Alexander of Roswell, N.M., Mrs. Olen Edwards of Okemah, Okla., and Mrs. Earl Driver of Killeen; one son, Frank Bane of Holland; two sisters, Mrs. Dewey Martin of Lufkin and Mrs. Lela Roberts of Houston; 13 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church at Little River, the Rev. M.D. Morehead and Minister Raymond Morgan officiating. Burial will be in the Wilson Valley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be R.J. Daniel, R. N. Allison, Bill Money, Alton Honeycutt, Melvin Garner and Leslie Huckabe. Goonight Funeral Home of Barlett is in charge of arrangements.
