This morning at 8:00, Mr. A. Gregory, a highly and respected citizen, died from a stroke of paralysis at his home, 121 James Street.

He was 81 years old; is survived by 8 children; Mrs. J.S. Wynn, Mrs. J.H. Turney, Miss Mary Gregory (of this city), Mr. Leonard Gregory (Palastine, TX), Mrs. Clara Aldrich, Mr. J.M. Gregory (Hendrix, OK), Mrs. Chas Gregory (Norman, OK) and Mrs. Anne Cawthon (Oklahoma, City).

His funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at family residence and will be conducted by the Rev. I. E. Thomas.

The remains will be interred in Oakwood Cemetery. ==================
He's the son of Jonas Gregory (b.1791 NY) and Arathusa P. Buch(?) (b.1798 NY)

He married Ethelinda "Lindy" (possibly a Hornbeck...) about 1865 in New York. She died in 1879 in Overton, Smith County, Texas - her burial location is unknown.

On July 6, 1879 he married Matilda R. Fleockher in Anderson, Texas. Matilda is buried in this same cemetery.
