Dr. Manson F. Brown, of 1214 Elk St., a well known Franklin physician, died at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept 17, 1998, in Northwest Medical Center at Franklin. Born July 5, 1912, he was a son of James W. and Mary Jane Knox Brown.
Dr. Brown graduated in 1930 from Franklin High School, attended Allegheny College, Meadville and the University of Michigan, and was graduated from Northwestern Medical School in Illinois.
He received his surgical training under charter member of the American Board of Surgeons at Kane, Duke University and the Lahey Clinic in Boston, Mass. He did his internship at Mahorner Clinic Southern Baptist Hospital in New Orenes, La.
Dr. Brown was married Oct 17, 1942 to the former Donna L Whiteley, who survives. Survived by two daughters, Lynn and Jacquelyn a son Robert, two sisters Gladys Wilt and Anita Sheridan.
