Freeport Post No. 307 GAR. . . . Comrade Ratledge was born in Wilson Co., Tennessee on the 19th day of March 1840. He was a farmer by occupation and enlisted into the service of the U.S. in 1862 as a sergeant in Co. F, 73rd Reg. of MO Vol. and after a term of service of some 19 months was honorably discharged. He was mustered into Freeport Post No. 307 GAR on Oct 13, 1868. He died March 11, 1892.
