John was the son of John O. and Elizabeth (Sheridan) Lewis and the husband of Mary "May" Bellomy whom he married in 1930 at Walters, Oklahoma. John was a longtime resident of Newcastle, Young Co., Texas. He was a rancher and a member of the Methodist Church. At his death he was survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs W.D. Davis of Dickenson, and Mrs Frank Stapp of Lewisville; five grandchildren and one g-grandchild; two brothers, Joe Lewis of Newcastle, and Grady Lewis of Houston; three sisters, Mrs R.L.
