Charles Henry Aiuppy, 87, of South Haven died Friday, March 20, 2009 at home. He was born April 13, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois to Henry and Frances (Glorioso) Aiuppy. Charles married Jane L. Abbott on January 21, 1949. Charles worked as a line worker for Whirlpool Corporation for 33 years retiring in 1981. Charles was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in South Haven, Michigan. Charles had his private pilot's license and enjoyed flying his Champs Airplane. He is preceded in death along with his parents by his daughter – Debra R. Aiuppy. He is survived by his wife – Jane L. Aiuppy of South Haven, Michigan. One son – Anthony "Tony" C. (Sandra) Aiuppy of The Villages, Florida and one daughter – Cheryl (Michael) Hamilton of South Haven, Michigan. Three grandchildren – Christopher Aiuppy, Eleanor Hamilton and Tiffany Dowell. One great-grandson – Jared Stanbery. One sister – Rosemary Jacobs of Kalamazoo, Michigan also survives. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Monday, March 23 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, March 24 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Mr. Bill Odebrecht officiating. Burial will take place at Chambers Cemetery.
